I'm a sucker for...

...black and white pictures. I just love the look and depth that black and white offers. My nieces are always my most willing models and up for anything, so last night we did a sunset shoot. I am in love with my 50mm and the fantastic bokeh shots that it offers. Aren't the girls just beautiful! Thanks for a fun night M and K!!

Texas Capitol

I recently took a trip to Austin, TX and had a chance to see the Capitol building. I also got a 50mm lens on this trip, so of course, I had to try it out.

J & N = Love

This session was photographed at the University of Texas at Austin. It was a beautiful spring day and this couple could not have been more laid back and fun.

He designed this ring just for her. So beautiful!

Signs of spring

It was nice to see signs of life return to the trees. This winter has been cold for much of the United States and many people are anxious to see a little more sun and warmth come their way with the end of winter. Even though there is sun almost daily in New Mexico, it is a pleasure to see the little blossoms pushing forth.

The classic hat

Have you ever noticed that nobody wears hats anymore? It is rare to see more than the occasional baseball hat or cowboy hat. My husband decided to style a fedora to his grandfather's funeral. It was quite a statement and hopefully it will start a trend and inspire a generation to dress with class now and again.
